Our Advantages

  • Every year, we offer one of the two in-depth modules.
  • We use a blend of active and interactive classroom and out-of-class activities to help our students build their professional competences. Classroom activities include interactive seminars, computer simulations, business and role-playing exercises, case work, psychological workshops and workshops in other subjects, group discussions, research groups and online research conferences.
  • Our faculty is highly experienced and varied, which means that students can find support for a wide range of research initiatives.
  • You will be able to conduct research and present it at the annual conference “Student—Researcher—Teacher” and other conferences hosted by other universities, and publish your own research papers.
  • Our students have constant access to a research library, including both Russian and foreign literature covering the subject matter of the programme.
  • Alumni who wish to proceed to a research degree are encouraged to apply to a PhD programme (Special Needs Education).

Module “Fundamentals of Education for People with Intellectual Disabilities”. Disciplines:

We offer our students two in-depth options (variable modules): Module “Methods for Primary School Education of Children with Developmental Delays”. Disciplines:
  • Russian Language Teaching Methods;
  • Mathematics Teaching Methods;
  • Methods for Exploring the Surrounding Environment;
  • Methods of Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education for Children with Developmental Delays.

Module “Methods and Techniques of Preschool Education for Children with Intellectual Disabilities”. Disciplines:
  • Methods and Techniques of Developing Speech and Exploring the Surrounding Environment;
  • Methods and Techniques of Shaping Play;
  • Methods and Techniques of Shaping Constructive Activity;
  • Methods and Techniques of Teaching Basic Mathematical Concepts.
