"Russian House"
“Russian House” is the first stage of international students’ education at Herzen University. This is the place where highly skilled teachers will help you learn or perfect your Russian.

Russian allows you to access diverse information on a wide range of topics: science, politics, economy, culture, or to use it for your personal development. You can also continue your education in Russian both in Russia and most post-soviet countries, as well as some non-CIS states.
Our Programmes
We have programmes aimed at any level of Russian and lasting between one week and ten months. You will surely find a programme that fits your specific needs!
FOUNDATION COURSE
Terms: September to June / October to July / November to August
Classroom Hours: 800 (20 hours per week)
Tuition: 372 000 rub.
Students per class: 15 or fewer
The programme teaches relevant Russian language skills required to study in your area of specialisation at a Russian university.
INTENSIVE COURSE
(A0 to C2)

Terms: throughout the year
The programme consists of modules: 1 module is 1 week -
Classroom Hours: 20 hours per week
Minimum term is two weeks -
Tuition cost for one week is 9300 rub.

Students per class: 15 or fewer
Students attain key language and cultural skills required for communicating in Russian linguistic, social and cultural environment.
OTHER NON-DEGREE PROGRAMMES
(A0 to C2)
Beyond Russian as a foreign language programmes, Russian Home also organises and hosts:
1. non-degree programmes for international students in different areas, such as pedagogy, psychology, Russian language and culture, ecomomics and etc. (on request for organized groups)
2. non-degree professional development programmes for foreign specialists in different areas, such as pedagogy, psychology, ecomomics, music, fine arts and etc. (on request for organized groups)
