  • We offer state of the art instruction with a high share of project activities, workshops by top Russian experts in blind education and open lectures by researchers and professors of the Special Education Institute of the Russian Academy of Education, Moscow Pedagogical State University and Moscow City University.
  • We use a blend of active and interactive classroom and out-of-class activities to help our students build their professional competences. Classroom activities include interactive seminars, business and role-playing exercises, case work, online research conferences.
  • Due to our close ties with special education institutions, many of the diploma project topics offered to our students come directly from potential employers interested in hiring students focusing on these topics.
  • Our students are able to take part in international research and practical conferences on blind education, hosted by Herzen University, Saint-Petersburg Research Institute of Ear, Throat, Nose and Speech, Special Education Institute of the Russian Academy of Education, Moscow Pedagogical State University, Moscow City University and Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University.
  • You will have an opportunity to participate in student projects and to enter a project contest within the Youth Forum “My Initiative in Education”, as well as in volunteering projects with children;
  • Our students can expand their education in additional educational programmes hosted by Herzen University, receiving completion certificates.
  • Based on your research, you will be able to publish articles in academic journals and presentation abstracts in proceedings of academic conferences.
  • You will have an opportunity to pursue a doctoral programme in Herzen University or any other Russian or foreign university.
