The Herzen University Faculty of Law dates back to 2002. Represented by the Faculty, the University is a member of the Association for Legal Education and the International Association of Law Schools.

Faculty of Law graduates go on to work in law enforcement agencies and educational institutions, in nonprofit and commercial enterprises and in international human rights organisations.

International activities at the Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law has been a member of the International Association of Law Schools (IALS) since January 2010 (Dean of the Faculty Smorgunova V.Yu. - member of the Board of the Association, member of the Committee for the selection and recommendation of new members of the Board, the Committee for the exchange of law teachers in law schools, the Committee on the audit of this organization), professors and students of the faculty annually participate in international scientific and practical conferences and seminars, as well as in student exchange programs within the framework of existing agreements with foreign educational organizations.
