"Modern School as a School of Dialogue (Dialogue Technologies in Primary Education)", a scientific and methodological conference was held at Herzen University

President of Herzen University Gennady Bordovsky welcomed the participants of the conference, emphasizing: “Of all types of human communication, dialogue is the only form when words can reach mutual understanding between partners. Dialogue cannot take place if people do not seek to understand the position of the partner. There can be no unequal partnership, and this is something we must face. Now dialogue is in demand not only in our school, but also in society as a whole, this is the only way to find mutual understanding. If we don’t learn to live in a dialogue, it’s hard to count on success, and school is a proper place to learn this.”. The President gave his thanks to representatives of educational institutions participating in the project.


 


Professor of UNESCO "Education in a multicultural society" department of Herzen University Ekaterina Suvorova made a presentation “Implementation of the meta-subject approach in the textbooks of the UMK "School of dialogue"”.

In modern society, an effective education system that faces the challenges of time and creates a favorable mode of socialization of new generations should ensure the formation of communicative competence of students. In these conditions, interactive technologies perform cognitive, value, communicative and developmental functions. An important role in the development of society is played by the education of the younger generation of mutual respect, mutual understanding, mutual enrichment, preparation for effective cooperation in a rapidly changing world.


 


UMK "School of dialogue" was introduced to the pedagogical community, and experts exchanged experience using interactive technologies in elementary school.

The conference was attended by university professors, employees of research institutes and institutions of postgraduate teacher education, school teachers.
