On December 16, 2020, the latest edition of the QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia 2021 was released.

Herzen University ranks 199th in the overall rating. Among 121 Russian universities that were included, it ranks 47th.

The University also takes second place among Russian pedagogical universities in the list of the best universities in the developing countries of Europe and Central Asia. Only four pedagogical universities appeared in the rating.

The key indicators for evaluating universities are the following: academic reputation (30%), employer reputation (20%), faculty/student ratio (10%), papers per faculty (10%) and international research network (10%).

As stated on the official website of the QS EECA University Rankings: “Containing 400 institutions, this year’s ranking of universities from Emerging Europe & Central Asia is our largest ever.”

The strengthening of Herzen University’s position is a result of the overall work of the faculty and staff. We hope that next year the University will be able to further improve its performance.
