Herzen University student conquered the Mt. Kazbek peak

While most people were celebrating New Year's holidays, someone was training hard and conquering the mountain peaks – in the true sense of the word.
A Master’s degree student from the Institute of Physical Education and Sport, Ivan Kergin has sent New Year’s greetings to all of the Herzen University’s faculty and students from the winter Mt. Kazbek.
On January 7, Ivan together with other members of the National Mountaineering Team of Russia reached the peak of Mount Kazbek, which is one of the highest mountain peaks in Russia (5033 m).
Ivan has dedicated his ascent of the Kazbek to mark both the 75th anniversary of the Institute of Physical Education and Sport and the 225th anniversary of Herzen University.
